A photographic series of my 99 year old great aunt, living in North Devon after a career as a nurse during the war in the East End of London.
Betty swims in the sea often, shes profoundly independent and has a mental hardiness that keeps her young and spirited. She enjoys a glass of sherry, a cup of tea with friends, and sometimes even hops on the coach to London to revist memories of past times.
